GUIDELINES
GUIDELINES TO BE A FLAG CARRIER FOR THE SSCDT
- You must be a member in good standing with the Scottsdale Saddle Club.
- Your horse must be bathed and clipped before the performance. Clipping areas are: muzzle, throat
latch area, chin, eyes ( not the actual lashes, just the really long ones above and below the
eyeball ), bridle path, feathers behind the pastern, the coronet band ( the hair that meets the
hoof, no hair past the hoofline ), and the hair under the length of the head of the horse.
- If there is ever a debate about a rule, or a need to modify a rule, it will be done only by the
captain and co-captain. All decisions made by captain and co-captain are final. Some may think the
decision not fair, but there is an entire team of opinions, so we try to make it as fair as possible.
